JOB DETAILS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their highly skilled team in performing complex professional management analyses and administration of financial, statistical, administrative, budget, grants, and other operations in support of the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) Finance and Business Services Team and Manager.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This is not a sworn position, however it does require a complete Statement of Personal History (SPH).

Only those applicants selected will need to submit the SPH. The SPH is due 10 calendar days AFTER you have been notified. Applicants will receive instructions from the Department of Human Resources or the Sheriff's Office on how to login to the electronic SPH.

Required Minimum Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*

' A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible advanced level accounting/auditing experience in a professional setting

' Any combination of relevant education and/or training in a relevant discipline that would likely provide the required knowledge and skills, may substitute for up to one (1) year of the required years of experience

' Experience with governmental accounting and budgeting procedures and operations

' Experience ensuring compliance with contracts and/or grant requirements

' Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB)

' Professional communication skills

' Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test

' Must pass an extensive background investigation, including national fingerprint records check

' Driving may be necessary for County business. For position(s) with occasional/incidental driving, incumbents must possess a valid driver's license. Accommodation requests for an acceptable alternative method of transportation will be reviewed on an individual basis in compliance with State and Federal legislation. For position(s) with regular driving, incumbent(s) must also possess and maintain an acceptable driving record throughout the course of employment.

Preferred Special Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*

' Possession of an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, in good standing

' Advanced government-level professional accounting, financial analysis, and reporting

' Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel

' Experience with PeopleSoft Financial Software

' Experience implementing GASB Standards
