Senior Superintendent (homebuilding)

Our client a long term privately held real estate developer is seeking a dedicated and experienced Homebuilding Superintendent to oversee the daily operations of residential construction projects. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will manage all phases of home construction from site preparation through to final inspection, ensuring that all subcontractors, vendors, and crews are aligned and working effectively to meet project goals. Key Responsibilities: Project Oversight: Supervise and manage the construction of residential homes from start to finish, including scheduling, coordinating, and overseeing all subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel. Site Management: Ensure that the job site is safe, clean, and compliant with all local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental laws. Any experience with land (offsite construction is a plus) Quality Control: Inspect work on a daily basis to ensure that all aspects of the project meet quality standards and specifications. Address any issues or deficiencies promptly to avoid delays. Budget and Timeline Management: Monitor and manage the project schedule and budget to ensure timely and cost-effective completion. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure materials arrive on time and are within budget. Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing updates on project status and addressing concerns as they arise. Problem Solving: Identify potential problems before they escalate and provide solutions to keep the project moving forward without compromising quality or safety. Safety Management: Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment and minimize risk on the job site. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain daily logs, track project progress, and report on key performance indicators such as cost, schedule, and quality. Requirements: Proven experience as a Homebuilding Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role in residential construction. Strong knowledge of residential construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications. Proficiency in using construction management software and tools. Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on solutions. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field a plus OSHA 30 certification or equivalent (preferred). A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs.
