Job Summary

Work involves assisting with clerical and technical duties in the areas of Judicial Control/Booking, Master Control, Dorm Control, Jail Intake, and Transportation. This includes, but is not limited to, operating controls to allow entry and exit from secured areas of the detention facility, operating electronic recording equipment, registering offender visits, logging information, typing reports, providing service to individuals entering the detention facility such as legal and ministry professionals as well as providing service to the public.

Requirements

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. A minimum of two years of clerical and/or computer experience in a customer service- related field is required. The ability to type 30 net words per minute is required. (An official typing certificate will be required.)

Additional Information

The selection process includes, but is not limited to, a panel interview. Prior to employment, candidates will complete a background investigation, polygraph examination, and physical examination to include a drug screen. The expected duration of the selection process will not normally exceed two months. Candidates not selected may reapply in the future. This position requires shift work, including weekends and holidays. This posting may be used to fill multiple openings. Although the entire pay range is posted, this position starts at the minimum of $20.83 per hour.
