Full-Time Police Officer Position

Requirements:

Qualified persons are invited to apply to the Borough of Rochester Civil Service Commission to take a competitive examination leading to the eligibility for appointment as a Full-Time Patrolman for the Rochester Borough Police Department. Rochester Borough is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Rochester Borough is offering a $5,000 hiring bonus for this Full Time Position after completion of field training.

1. Be a United States citizen on the date of application.
2. Have graduated from an accredited High School or have a GED.
3. Have attained the age of 21 years old by the date of appointment.
4. Possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license at the time of application.
5. Be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of a police officer.
6. Have successfully completed Pennsylvania Act 120 training at the time of appointment.

An application packet may be obtained at the Rochester Borough Police Department, located at 350 Adams Street Rochester, Pa 15074, between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday thru Friday, no application fee.

A complete application must be returned to the Rochester Borough Police Department to be filed with the Civil Service Commission by 4:00 pm on March 14, 2025 . The written and physical agility exam is scheduled for March 22, 2025 at 1100 hours and the oral exam will be held later that evening at the Rochester Municipal Building, 350 Adams Street Rochester.
